Anyone Ever Been?

To Skyhigh Sports - Trampoline Fun Center in Spokane? They have a Homeschooler's Day every Monday from 1-2 pm for $6 per person (under 2 is free). I was thinking of trying it out on one of the Homeschooler Mondays before school lets out and would love to get some feedback! Thanks.

Overcoming Testing Anxiety?

Thanks to Ms. Wheeler and all responsible for helping us get MAP testing!

I think I get more nervous than my kids. I was wondering what kind of advice you give your children to negate the anxiety that seems normal with test taking? I just tell them to do their best and to READ each and every question (and potential answer) thoroughly before making a selection. I have reminded them that in some instances, ALL the answers are correct but one is MORE correct than the others.

Would love to hear some of your confidence building strategies! Thanks in advance.

Summer Fun?

Does anyone get together over the summer for activities, etc.? Kids Bowl Free? Meetings at parks or pools? Anyone interested in some 5MP outings over the summer between family vacations?

Great fun at the field trip today at the new planetarium at SFCC. Lots of "oohs and aahs" from kids and parents alike.  What a great way to spend an educational hour! Thanks so much to Robin Heppner and the other organizers of this great event! :-)

Battle of the Books

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in Battle of the Books. Pictured here is the winning team. Five students read all of the books and received $25 gift certificates from the Friends of Five Mile School. Good Job!
